Lord, life is hard sometimes. In the midst of hard times, please give me strength, so I can endure and focus on You.
Psalm 3
Lord, how many are my foes! How many rise up against me! Many are saying of me, “God will not deliver him.” But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side. Arise, Lord! Deliver me, my God! Strike all my enemies on the jaw; break the teeth of the wicked. From the Lord comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.
Some days, it seems everyone is against me. My back is against the wall, and I’m trying to trust in God. Many come by, look at my situation, and say, “God will not deliver him.” Now that’s discouraging!
I believe. My trust is in the Lord who sustains me during these trying times. True, the Lord’s plans may be different from what I pray for, but I’m okay with that. He has the only real answers to my problems.
The Lord is my shield which surrounds me, and because I look to Him, He lifts my head high. Because I call out to the Lord, He answers me.
THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS: I take many things for granted: Going to sleep and waking up again are among them. But I find when I’m at rest, the Lord does His most powerful work in me. He brings energy to my body and clarity to my heart. The Lord sustains me with His strength and helps me to see the next step I must take in obedience to His will.
When I know I’m following His will, I am not afraid, even though many assail me from every side. They distract me from the Lord’s plans by introducing plans of their own, without seeking the Lord’s guidance.
I ask the Lord to deliver me, and I believe He will. I look for a few righteous people who will pray with me and lead me to Jesus to receive His strength and hear His plans for my life. Lord, please allow me to accept others who pray for me and with me and who lead me to You, so I can receive Your instruction and peace with rejoicing. Allow me also to be that friend who prays with another to lead them to You.
May you be blessed,
