MONDAY: PEACE REIGNS IN THANKSGIVING

Colossians 3:15

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

When I think about peace, I know it flows from thanksgiving to God for all He has done for me. As a result, peace becomes my all-consuming outcome which results in Christ ruling my heart.

When Christ rules my heart, His peace flows out onto members of His body which Christ brought together.

This closeness with my Savior will result in transformational relationships with the people around me. He will bring forgiveness, accountability, and humility along with this closeness and thankfulness.

THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS

I will forgive others more easily when Christ reigns in my heart. This forgiveness may spark a revival of love in my family and among my closest friends. When Jesus is at the center of our relationships through His grace as He draws each one to himself, my family and friends will be more loving and forgiving because we’re all gathered around Christ.

I will be more submissive and accountable to others when Christ reigns in my heart. This accountability will produce a leadership structure in which Jesus reigns over us all. I submit to Him, and likewise He pours out His words from my lips, so others hear of the opportunity to submit to Him as well. When my family submits to Jesus, they are obeying and loving Him and falling into perfect harmony and accountability in the roles that each of them possesses.

I will be more humble when Christ reigns in my heart. This humility will hold me accountable in knowing that I am actually very low in priority of all the priorities in my life. Jesus holds the highest priority, with my immediate family second and others around me coming next. I am last in priority of the things God wants me to do.

God is in charge of who He wants me to be. It is all up to Him where I go and what I do. If I focus my life with this in mind, I will be more blessed than I can ever imagine.

Lord, thank You for giving us Yourself in the persons of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I am so grateful and blessed to be Your child and want to praise Your name all the time, so everyone will know how much I love You. Amen.

May you be blessed,
