THINK ABOUT WHATEVER IS RIGHT

"He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" Micah 6:8

What is right is not always what is easy. And it is rarely what is most convenient.

The world often defines “right” by what feels good. What works best. What keeps the peace. But Scripture calls me to something deeper that is anchored in obedience to Jesus.

God has already told me what is right. To do justice. To love kindness. To walk humbly with Him. That means what is right is not just about my actions; it is about my being. Justice without kindness is harsh. Kindness without justice is shallow. And neither can exist rightly without humility before God.

When I think about what is right, I am reminded that righteousness is not about myself or anything I can manufacture. It flows from walking closely with the Lord. When I drift from Him, my sense of right and wrong becomes blurred. I start justifying things I once resisted. I excuse things I once confessed. And slowly, truth and compromise begin to trade places.

But walking humbly with God keeps my steps aligned. Doing what is right may cost me comfort. It may cost me approval. It requires courage when I feel like being silent. Jesus shows me what right looks like in real life.  He spoke truth. He showed compassion without compromising holiness. He loved people deeply while remaining fully obedient to His Father.

When I think about what is right, I don’t condemn myself for my past actions but instead ask Jesus to realign my heart to Himself.  Right thinking shapes right living. It guards my integrity. It strengthens my witness. And it keeps my walk with God honest and whole.

So today, I choose to walk humbly. I choose to love kindness. I choose to do what is right not by my own standard, but by the Standard, Jesus Christ. And I think about whatever is right.

Lord, You are righteous in all Your ways. Teach me to walk humbly with You and to choose what is right, even when it is difficult. Align my heart with Yours, guard my integrity, and help me reflect Your justice and kindness in every decision I make. I desire to honor You in my thoughts and in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
