AMBITIONS FOR 2026

PRAY MORE

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” Romans 12:12

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18

Near the end of his life, someone asked Billy Graham if he had any regrets. His answer was simple and humbling:  “Yes. I wish I would have prayed more.”

Those words linger with me.

So many people spend their lives trying to get ahead in this world. What are they really seeking? Usually more of what they already have. More success. More comfort. More security.

But my ambition for 2026 is different. I desire to pray more. I desire to spend more time with God.

God invites me into a relationship so close that prayer becomes more than moments throughout the day. He desires continual fellowship with me. “Praying without ceasing” and being “constant in prayer” are not burdensome commands. They are invitations to trust Him always, to walk with Him continually, and to believe in Him more deeply.

I want God to accomplish everything He desires in my life. And I’ve learned this truth: when I surrender my desires and dreams to Him, I begin to experience His desires and His dreams for me. What He gives is always greater, always richer, and always more lasting than anything I could plan on my own.

Prayer is more than bowing my head a few times a day. It is a life posture. A continual trust.A steady rejoicing. A grateful heart in every circumstance.

THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS

When I pray more, I hope more. And when hope increases, so does my ability to live out God’s purpose for my life. God desires to pour His hope into me so that I can pour hope into others, especially those He places in my path.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13

This verse shows me how God intends to shape my prayer life. As I believe more, He fills me with joy and peace, fruits of the Holy Spirit that anchor my heart. And by the power of the Holy Spirit, He causes hope to overflow in my life.

So much hope, in fact, that my deepest desire becomes this: to bless others with the same hope God has so freely given to me.

My ambition for 2026 is simple and intentional.

I will pray more, so that I may be filled with hope, and freely give His hope to everyone I meet.

Lord, thank You for placing in my heart a desire to pray more and spend more time with You. Teach me to rejoice more, to give thanks more, and to hope more as I walk with You each day. Fill me with Your hope so fully that it overflows into the lives of those around me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
