I'M WAITING FOR YOU, LORD!

It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD (Lamentations 3:26).

But you must return to your God; maintain love and justice, and wait for your God always (Hosea 12:6).

The remnant of Jacob will be in the midst of many peoples like dew from the LORD, like showers on the grass, which do not wait for anyone or depend on man (Micah 5:7).

But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me (Micah 7:7).

Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption to sonship, the redemption of our bodies (Romans 8:23).

But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently (Romans 8:25).

If I’m going to wait, do I have to be quiet?  I can be quite loud while I’m waiting, because quite frankly, I don’t like to wait and I want everyone to know it.  Let’s see what the Lord says:

I’m waiting for His salvation.  His salvation is a much greater need than my petty problems; I think I’ll wait for His salvation instead!

I’m waiting for God always.  Now there is a sobering thought.  Waiting is actually in my job description; I’m always going to be waiting for something, so I might as well be waiting for God.

My waiting will be rewarded.  My waiting is purposeful.  I will realize the hope in waiting when God shows me what He has been waiting to reveal to me.

While I’m waiting, I’m talking to God.  I’m not alone while I’m waiting; God is right here with me.  I might as well talk to Him to see what else I can do for Him while I’m waiting.

THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS

God wants me to know that my waiting is someone else’s blessing.  If people are waiting for rain, I just realized that I’m one of the raindrops.  He’s going to use me in a powerful way to bless someone else who has been waiting.

God will also give me patience while I wait for Him.  Since patience is a fruit of the Spirit, God has an abundant supply.  He will shower me with patience if I wait for His answers today.

Lord, thank You for blessing me with patience today.  I can’t wait to see what You are about to do in my life!  The waiting has caused eagerness in my heart to see and hear from You! Amen!
