MONDAY: God’s Unfailing Love

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening. Psalm 92:1-2

The phrase “have a good day” is a popular parting remark. These two verses describe just how to make that happen. Start and end each day focused on the goodness of God.

These two verses describe a day hemmed in by worship. And they describe that day as good. I don’t sew, but I understand the value of hemming a garment. It doesn’t just adjust the length; it prevents the fabric from unraveling. And I can see how starting and ending each day focused on the goodness of God would keep even the most stressful life from unraveling.

So, the next time you wake up and feel anxious or depressed before you’re even out of bed, take a moment to remind yourself of God’s unfailing love. Carry that truth with you through your day. And at the end of the day, take a moment to thank Him for His faithfulness and to remember that He was with you every step of the way.
