THANKSGIVING HOPE

2 Corinthians 4:13–18

“It is written: ‘I believed; therefore, I have spoken.’  Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.”  

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”  

Faith gives birth to thanksgiving. The Holy Spirit fills me with belief in the One who raised Jesus from the dead. Because of that same faith, I know He will raise me as well.

Everything God does—His grace, His renewal, His promise of resurrection—is for my benefit and for His glory. Thanksgiving becomes the overflow of that grace.

Even though my body grows weaker, the Spirit renews me daily. My eyes turn from what is temporary to what is eternal.

THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS

If I focus on every worry, I’ll be consumed by them. But when I fix my eyes on eternity, I find peace. This life is short; eternity is forever.

Eternal life doesn’t begin when I die—it begins the moment I believe in Jesus. His Spirit renews me from the inside out, giving me strength, vision, and everlasting hope.

Lord, thank You for the gift of eternal life and for renewing me every day through Your Spirit. Help me share Your hope with others, that they too may be transformed and thankful forever. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
