Lord, You bless me all the time. What would You like me to give You? Guide my heart, so I bring honor and blessing to You.
1 Chronicles 16:23-29
Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the Lord made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place. Ascribe to the Lord, all you families of nations, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness. The Lord tells me how He wishes to be praised: He desires that I sing to Him. It doesn’t matter what my voice sounds like—it’s my heart that He wants to hear. He desires to hear me proclaiming His salvation day after day.
If I sing to the Lord every day, I make sure to keep my focus on Him, and in turn I remind myself that He is the One who saved me. His greatness surpasses all others; I worship only Him.
The splendor and majesty of the Lord are always before Him; to understand this, I only need to call on His Name. He has abundant strength and joy—and He desires to give it to those who call on Him!
THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS: When I praise God, I give Him an offering of praise. I’m called to give God the following:
Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Any strength I claim to have on this earth, I give to Him for His use; I ask Him to use me to glorify Himself.
Give to the Lord the glory due His Name. When I look upon the Lord, His Name deserves glory. When I glorify Him, He lifts me up and allows me to bathe in His glory.
Bring an offering and come before Him. The one who approaches the Lord should bring an offering, showing Him the appropriate honor in approaching the King of kings.
Worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness. I humble myself by bowing in worship and reverence before the Holy One.
Lord, I thank You for accepting my humble worship of Your Holiness.
May you be blessed, Chaplain Wayne Ruckman
