TUESDAY: God’s Promises

“I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:27

This is such an encouraging verse when we’re facing an impossible situation. It reminds us that it isn’t impossible for God. But this isn’t a reminder to bring our impossible situations to God, so He can deal with them. We certainly should bring them to God and put our hope in Him. But there’s something more in this verse that encourages my heart.

It reminds me of the nature of the God I worship. It reminds me that He has the power to keep every promise He has made. We make promises we can’t keep, sometimes through no fault of our own. Things beyond our control can prevent us from keeping a promise. But this never happens to God. Unlike us, He has never had to make an excuse for failing to keep a promise. With this verse, He challenges us to remember who He is, so we can trust Him more. He has the power to keep His promises. And He will.

May you be encouraged by the truth that God uses His awesome power to keep His awesome promises to save, deliver, heal, provide, restore, and bless!
