TUESDAY: What Life Is All About

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. Psalm 16:11

What is “the way of life?” At some point each of us wonders what life is all about. We sense that it’s more than eating, sleeping, working, and playing. We wonder, “Why am I here?” and “Can my life make a difference?” and “Does my life matter to anyone?”

The God who made you will show you the way of life. Why you are here. He made you to fellowship with Him. How your life can make a difference! Love your neighbor as yourself. And how very much your life matters to Him. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life.

And the eternal life Jesus offers isn’t just about heaven. It doesn’t begin when this mortal life ends. We begin to experience that new life and the pleasures of living with Him when we trust in Jesus and welcome His presence with us!

May you receive the gift of eternal life and know the joy of His presence!
